Our Campers The majority of our campers come from in and around the Bay Area but some campers come from out of state and some even outside of the country. We have a diverse group of campers with different backgrounds that all love camp. Campers come to Jones Gulch to make new friends, participate in our many activities and have fun! Camp Jones Gulch focuses on values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility in every aspect of camp. Activities at camp include horseback riding, climbing tower, zip line, canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts, field sports, basketball, group games, foam sword fighting, fort building, campfires and more. Within their cabins and units, campers are encouraged to try new things and learn new skills. |

Our Staff Our strongest asset is the dedicated, caring leadership of our staff. The bond between camper and counselor is at the heart of YMCA camping. With a 5:1 camper to counselor ratio, your camper always receives enough individual attention. Our staff are selected for their maturity and ability to act as excellent role models. An intense training program assists counselors in learning how to provide a safe and fun experience for each camper.
